Loved la zucca which I got with mortadella. Amazing sandwich that totally lives up to the hype. Great people. Beautiful shop. Will be back.
The cheese store is so fun. It's a great place to grab a gift or a bottle of wine on the go. We came specifically for the deli sandwiches. They are not cheap, but they are delicious. You can taste how high-quality the ingredients are and that makes all the difference. I would come back in the summer before going to the beach.
The iconic Cheese Store of Beverly Hills! Delicious and quality ingredients that are a true treat. We got The Dom which was a wonderful mix of flavors, the sun dried tomato was such a great addition to complement the prosciutto. The service was very kind and prompt. The outdoor seating is small but lovely - self serve cafe style. The ambiance is enjoyable especially on a temperate day. Overall very happy with our sandwich. My only complaint is the price tag was steep but honestly to be expected for BH + good quality ingredients!
i'm gonna dream of their sandwiches til i go to that side of town again! i ordered il domenico & added arugula- omg one of the best sandwiches in la! fresh, soft yet very crisp bread, tons of prosciutto and a thick layer of creamy burrata w sundried tomatoes folded in ever so gently- perfection! service was quick and very friendly. i wanted to browse the store but i parked in a 5 min pick up spot and couldn't look around, it smells amazing in there, can't wait to go back!
I've been dying to try out the sandos here, and after having tried the La Zuca (5 Stars), I'm dying to try the entire menu! The new location is beautiful and stocked with take-away items, upscale grocery options, breads and baguettes, and of course amazing sandwiches. Customer service was phenomenal and friendly, and everything from the packaging to the presentation was well done! I'll be back and can't wait to try the other Sandos.
Stopped by here for lunch while we were in Beverly Hills. We ordered our sandwiches at the counter and found a table outside, and our food was brought out to us within 10 min. I got the Macellaia, which was so savory but still felt like a light meal. I loved the crispy/crunchy bread! The sandwiches are definitely a bit pricey given the smaller size, but they are super delicious! I would be happy to come back again
Definitely one of the top sandwich spots in Los Angeles. A bit pricey but you get the full quality for the price you pay. Service is great, the store is gorgeous with all the cheeses and accompaniments and the layout seeing the cheese mongers slicing up cheeses. I ordered the il Domenico. A delicious baguette full of lean but also soft and buttery prosciutto, creamy burrata cheese, and sharp sun dried tomatoes. You can't go wrong with this sandwich.
A few quick facts: 1. It smells great inside. 2. The line for sandwiches moves pretty fast. 3. There's free parking about a block away, in the public lot on Bedford Drive. Now, onto my visit. It was my first time, and I was there for a sandwich, so I went with Il Domenico. After placing my order, I got some self service, ice cold water and waited. It took less than 10 minutes to get my sandwich. I grabbed a standup table outside and dug in. The sandwich is basically prosciutto, burrata and sun dried tomatoes. To me, it was a bit too salty. I would have preferred something to balance it a bit more. This won't stop me from returning to try one of their other sandwiches.
What a gorgeous cheese store in the heart of Beverly Hills ! There's easy 2 hour 'Free Parking' just one block east on Bedford at the Beverly Hills public parking structure on or you can try the street meters and metered parking structures nearby. Inside the shop they have a fantastic variety of olive oil, jams, ham, assorted nibbles, caviar, and of course, cheese! They also make fantastic sandwiches. Today I tried their "cheese store club." It was made to order in a couple minutes and the just baked fresh bread was so chewy and really good! You can dine at the premises and they even have a cute seating area outside, or get it to go. The self serve chilled water is a nice touch. The staff are super helpful and nice. I'll definitely come back here to get some fabulous cheeses and try another sandwich as they are really excellent.
This is a really special place, as the sheer number of positive reviews here can tell you. In a time where everything seems to be maximized for engagement and money, coming here and seeing the owner (who used to be a beloved employee) work here at his own pace makes you realize you're here not only for the goodies but also to get a taste of what it means to pursue a passion with purity. We ordered two sandwiches: the Dom (arguably the signature sandwich of The Cheese Store) and the Zucca (the only vegetarian option on the menu). I liked the Dom because how can you go wrong with salty ribbons of pork and pillowy cheese...but the flavor profile was pretty one-note. You get a whisper of sweetness from the tomatoes but I personally could have done without them as I did not appreciate their knotted texture (I'm weird). Now the Zucca had an incredible balance of textures and flavors and I would argue it is the better sandwich. There is nothing like it in LA! The shop itself sells several cheeses, meats, wines, and accoutrements that go well with these offerings. There is no place to sit down so it is very much a grab & go operation. Note that there is a separate line for mobile orders / pickup (that you can pay at)!
